Deep below in the lower levels of the school was the most wonderful place imaginable in a school. The extra classes were held in this area, the fun classes. The classes people actually enjoyed coming to.

The halls down here were painted white, but you could not see them. They were covered by creations of all of the different kind of art classes and it made the feel of the place very cheery indeed. The colors, the paterns, the designs, and of the emotion coming through these hallways was unbeleiveable! Even the smell, cooking treats, art suplies, and flowers from the gardening class made the level by far the most pleasant in the school.

Paiton, a blonde cheery girl, was very proud to give aid to the spirit in this hallway. She was one of the top students in her feild and her art was at every turn.

The doorway to her class was open and an intriguing smell wafter from it. As she entered the room she noticed that someone had spilled paint thinner from their acrylics, she avoided the spill and went back to her own station by the window, which she opened to allow a breeze in as she worked.

The class was a free art class. The teacher selected the best students from the mandatory art classes and allowed them to just come in durring a period and do whatever art they please. Paiton, at the moment, was working on a scetch of a wolf running through a forest. It was turning out rather well, and she was proud of it.

She sat there now, in the colorfull room full of every craft suply imaginable, drawing. She was glad for this period and sat humming to herself. Perhaps someone would join her in conversation, but if not she would be content to just draw- after all, it was something she enjoyed after all. Plus, the plans she had made for later that evening were still fresh in her mind. These two things, the drawing and the plans, would be more than enough to sustain her bordome for a period; however, she would much like some chatter as well.

A tall boy walked down the hallway, pushing a bucket and mop. He wasn't a janitor or anything. He was just being helpful. The art teacher was one of the nicest in the school and when she had seen him walking by she asked him to do her a favor and get the janitor. Unfortunately the janitor was busy cleaning up a huge mess in the cafeteria. So he had volunteered to take the mop down himself and clean up the spilled paint thinner.

As he slid the bucket around the corner and into the room he could smell the paint thinner. It was a strong, pungent smell, that would burn the hairs in your nose if left too long. His nose wrinkled as he stood by the spill and lifted the mop up from the bucket. He placed the mop on the ground and began to clean up the spill. Luckily it wasn't just water in the bucket. The janitor had put something special in it to help clean up the paint thinner.

After mopping up the spill he dunked the mop back into the bucket. He turned to the art teacher as she walked over to thank him. He welcomed her and then looked about the class. He set the mop beside the door and walked around a bit. He always enjoyed looking at art. He was never very good at it, but he did enjoy looking at it.

As he walked around behind Paiton he looked at the sketch she was working on. He stopped to admire it and then smiled. "That looks great" he said to her. He placed his hands in his jeans pockets as he stood, still admiring her sketch. It was obviously not done yet, but so far it looked amazing.

Paitons nose was wrinkling at the smell, but the class was told to just let it go and go on with their bussiness, so she did simple that. She was sitting in the corner, deep in thought, whenever a noise startled her. She jumped up suddenly and drew a small line on her paper, only big enough for her to notice but still she worked dilagently on erasing the mark.

Something else caught her eye though, aside from the aweful mark she had just made which would most likely bother her until the peice was completeled. The guy who had just walked helpfully into to the room to clean up the paint thinner was, by far, one of the best looking she had seen around the school. She had seen his, probably only once before. She asume they're friend crowds weren't friends or evnemies- which was a good thing in her mind.

As Paiton quickily looked back to her paper to pretend she hadn't just been starting at this dazling young man, he began to advance towards her. She quickly began working feircly again, and when he spoke she stuttered and blushed.
"W-Well, erm... thanks." she said as she darred to look up at him with a smile.

"I don't beleive I know you, do I? I'm Paiton." she introduced herself politely. She would most certainly like to talk to this guy, even though she knew he was way out of her league probably to even be friends with- she could always hope to get a 'hi' from his atleast later, couldn't she?

The young man smiled as she stuttered a bit and he noticed the blush in her cheeks. "Your welcome" he said as he saw her look up at him. He ran his fingers through his hair, brushing the longer strands out of his eyes. He smiled at her as she introduced herself. "It's nice to meet you Paiton. I'm Dylan" he replied. He removed his hands from his pockets and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Your very talented" he told her as he looked at her sketch again. He smirked and then turned his soft blue gaze to Paiton once more. She was rather cute, and so far she was interesting. He wasn't the type of guy to have a certain 'clique' and only stick to that group. He belonged more to every group. Well except the gothic kids, they never seemed too fond of him. Though they really weren't too fond of anyone that was not part of their group.

Paiton nodded. As he moved she became slightly fidgety in her seat. So far he seemed ok, but they hadn't really been talking much.
"Dylan. Ok, hi." she said with a smile and a wave.

Looking back down to observe her drawing, she shrugged. It really wasn't the best she had done, but it was turning out good- that was true. She smiled at him and thought about showing him other things she had done, but then though that it would be too braggy.
"Thanks." is all she could come up with in reply to his compliment. "You're very... helpful." she giggled thinking of a better responce.

Paiton wondered where this guy came from. She herself had many different friends, really then only people she didn't asociate with were the populars that nagged at her best friend for being, well, different than they were- and no other reason than that.

Dylan smiled at her as she thanked him again. "No problem. It's the truth after all" he said. He unfolded his arms and let them hang by his sides now. He chuckled as she said that he was very helpful. "I do what I can" he said with a slight shrug. He was always helping so he really didn't think of it at all.

"Do you have other stuff around?" he asked. He wanted to see some of her other work. If this piece was good then the rest must be even better. He looked around the room at the other students painting and drawing. He sighed softly and turned his gaze back to Paiton.

He wondered if maybe he should have simply left her alone. After all she had been busy drawing and he had interrupted. He hoped she didn't mind him talking to her and asking her questions. He mentally smacked himself and then looked at her, wondering still.

"Oh, thank you... I... rally don't know what else to say." She added truthfully. She was used to compliments on her art and never really thought twice about them unless they were fro the teacher or Marcy. But this man, she really cared and was happy that he was impressed with her. He just had such a friendly air about him- he seemed like a jenuine nice guy.

When he mentioned other art, her face lit up- it was as if he had read her mind! "Oh, yes, of course. I mean, anything with the little pawprint and a PT inside it is mine, that's my mark." she explained. She wondered since this was mostly a free period if she would be allowed to show him around. She assumed yes and stood, setting hr charcoal pencils down and began to walk acrosse the room, looking behind her to see if Dylan would follow or not.

She was very glad he had talked to her, if not... well, she would have been lost in her picture. but this was much more amusing.
