It was dark; the night was setting in as the street lamps glowed with dismal hope. His eyes shot straight out into the street as people gathered, his cell opened quickly, checking the time. It wasn’t rightly night time, but rather 4 in the morning. His eyes had rings around them, yet he still leaned against the corner of a building peering out into the blur of people surrounding the bikes, cars, and skates that cluttered the streets. He was silent otherwise, he wasn’t part of their gangs, rather he was one of the onlookers that lurked in the darker patches, making a few bets when he knew the odds were in his favor. The only time he’d go out to watch them close up where when he was gambling. Will had more to him than he lead people to believe, no one knew the true Will. He seemed as innocent as a high school guy, but he was so much deeper and interesting than one. He was a strange mystery, not willing to be unraveled.
Tonight however, he wasn’t looking at the races, but rather for a certain person. A link in his past, someone who had practically ruined his life, made him a drifter. It was indirectly linked though; it wasn’t even Will who was targeted. Yet that day haunted his every waking moment. Will took a deep breath in, breathing through his nose the cold of the night was setting in as his nostrils flared out thick white smog. He snorted, pulling his jacket collar up over his neck he crossed his arms, eyes peeled for someone he didn’t actually want to see. But somehow he knew he’d be here, he just knew it.

What it was that could have urged him to come here, he wasn't entirly sure himself. There was a deep sense of knowing that he should be here tonight that made him wake up and drag himself out here. However, there had been a sense of help. She'd called him and told him to come here tonight with her. She said it was more fun whenever it was two people and not just one. He didn't quite understand what she meant whenever she said that, but he was willing to trust her with that knowledge. He'd trusted her so many times before that now shouldn't be any different. Nor would it be. In a sense, she was his little sister that he was sworn to protect at all times.
But... there was something strange. It was a tang of nerves that caught him looking out the window at a shadowy figure standing against a building. Odd. He shrugged his shoulders and turned his head back to the girl sitting beside him in the driver's seat. He cleared his throat, looking at all of the people that were gathered. His mind seemed to wander slightly, though he was brought back by a loud revving noise. His eyes drifted to another car besides the one he was in and chuckled. "Piece of shit." He sighed, leaning back in the seat, letting his arm hang from the window.
It was nature. It was thrill. It was fun. It was Ren. She did anything for adventure and this was enough to top it all off. She grinned as another car reeved their engine and she did so in reply as well. "Eat that, scum," she muttered, looking over to Braxton. She shook her head and looked in front of her, reving her engine every so often to get the people out of her way as she was driving through. She grumbled a few times and sighed softly, looking around. She didn't catch what Braxton was looking at over against the building, nor did she really have any interest in whatever he was looking at once so ever. Her focus was elsewhere... Like winning a race. It payed the rent.
She brought the car to a stop and climbed from it, a grin all about her face as she looked about at the people standing around the car. Yeah, she was a little well known in the racing world. Ren grinned brightly, nodding her head as she shut the car door and leaned against the side of it. In a way, she looked cocky as she nodded in approval of all the attention but then she laughed. Joking. She was only joking around and she loosened up, running her hand over the car as though it were a treasure. It might as well have been with how much this thing cost.

The loud cheering and screams of the group was enough to keep him awake, however if not to make it even more of a point, the loud revving of engines kept his blood shot eyes and ringing ears awake and alert, no wonder people didn’t live around here. It was like torture having been here for quite a while he had no hope of sleeping this morning, not until probably 6 in the morning or so. However, his eyes seemed sketchy and blurry as he watched a new comer revving their engine, a female? That wasn’t very well seen in such a high-risk event like this. Will dug into his pocket, the large thick wad of cash that he had stowed away was seemingly growing bigger as the night dragged on, he hoped to make a few more hundred bucks in cold hard cash before the night was over, Will was a heavy gambler, it was a serious problem yet not one he’d ever fix.
He was leading himself into one hell of a ditch if his life continued like this, but who cared? It was Friday, he eventually got to school earlier without anyone’s help, and he wanted to have a good time. He’d certainly not start smoking or drinking though, he didn’t rightly know why, but he didn’t smoke or drink during these ‘social events’. He was wondering if the cops were going to show up any minute, the way everyone was screaming and cheering it was a sure fire way to get everyone arrested. Perhaps that’s why he stayed in the shadows, easy escape and he couldn’t be charged for being involved, yea Will was a little smarter than that. He licked his thumb, counting his bills slowly, digging through each individual bill as if it was really mere paper, worth nothing. He snorted, just short of 500 dollars, not bad for one night. Will played his cards right, and bet only when he knew he’d win, it was a good system.
He took another look at the girl that had just arrived, he snorted. Somewhere he felt he’d seen that girl before. But seeing as though it was four in the morning he didn’t really care to figure that out. His eyes traveled down her car, though he stopped staring straight at the kid that was sitting in the passenger seat of the ride. His fist clenched, how could he forget that uh, pretty? Face staring at his general direction. Folding his bills back stuffing them into his pocket his eyes narrowed as his teeth clicked in anger, it was him alright, the tip he had gotten from a friend of his was correct; that vicious beast who lived in his past had now reared it’s head again. Yet was Will really going to make a scene? He thought about it for a moment. Flaring his nostrils angrily he took a step back, slamming his fist into his jeans pocket he leaned against the wall, eyes locked solely onto one individual, who seemed somewhat oblivious to his existence thus far.

To put things lightly, Ren really didn't care what kind of car she was up against, they didn't stand a chance against her. No one did. She was known not only because she was the only female racer around, but because she won most races that she was in and that was nightly. It was a routine: Get up, work, drive. She didn't care what time of day it was, if there was a race going on, then you could count on seeing her there. Everything on the car was her doing. Braxton helped out a lot, though she did most of it herself. It was a passion that she'd held for years and she grinned as other people began to eye the car with envy. Apparently this was her competition for the night. She smirked in their direction, nodding her head towards them, though they didn't make an action back. They were obviously pissed off at her for some unknown reason. She shrugged, throwing the thought off of her shoulder. There were other things to attend to.
As the main person arrived on the scene, he came over and clapped her on the back and they laughed for a moment before she began to talk with him. "I don't care, man. You know me. I like to make things fun," she said, glancing in the direction of the other drivers. It was going to be a fun time, no doubt. Those other people were jokes compared to her. What did they have inside their little cars other than a few flashy lights? Ha! She had N2O in her engine that would guarentee her a win every single night. That stuff was like her child and she would go to any lengths to make sure that she had it for every race. Expensive, no doubt, but it was always easy to keep it supplied whenever she kept winning like this.
She looked around, watching as Hex gathered money from the people around that were betting. As he came to her, she smirked, looking at the people as they were throwing money in on her. "Awhhh. C'mon, boys! Let's make this fun!" She laughed and gave a sideways glance at the trash cars beside her's. "Hike up the price!" Pulling from her pocket, she withdrew a roll of fifties. "Nine-fifty. In right now. Pay up or puss out and I take all the money you already put in." Ren shrugged her shoulders. Maybe she was just being overly cocky, but it didn't bother her any. She had her way paved in gold at this rate and she watched as all of the other drivers payed up their bit and other people were even throwing money in for her as well. She nodded to a few guys who winked at her and gave her looks that told her how she'd be paying for this later. Ren only snorted and turned away from them, giving them the sign to kiss her ass if they thought that was ever going to happen.
"C'mon, you dogs, you in or out?" Braxton continued to walk around the circle of people that surrounded the car, taking money and throwing it into a black bag that he held tightly in his fist. He didn't have any desire to run with the money, but he was Ren's partner. He knew what he was doing and he knew how to get money so that she would keep it. If she won this race, she'd be rolling in money for a week. This would pay off everythying. Just two hundred short of four thousand dollars as far as the drivers went. With other people throwing in, she probably had about five thousand riding on her right now. It would all be worth it, he knew that she would win. It always ended up that way. Ren had never lost a single race and that was why she was rolling in this car with this kind of style and work done up on it.
Braxton went for another quick round, taking up cash and looked about the area for anyone else who wanted to throw money in. He drew the strings tight and found himself chatting with a few fine ladies off to the side. He smirked, nodding to them as they talked and rested their arms on his, wrapping themselves around him. He only shook his head and replied with coy comments now and again. Mostly, he allowed them to talk, not wanting to inturrupt them as they told him stories from racing and everything. "Sounds like a good time. Ren's been my partner for years. My car got wreacked - fixing it up now." His chatting was short-lived and he had to return to what was going on. He promised the girls that he would be back later to contiue their talk. He turned around, straightening his cap and he smirked.
"Alright! Let's ROLL IT! Who else is gonna pay up for my girl, Ren?!" he yelled out, looking around at everyone. He saw the person in the back and he narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing and figuring that the person wasn't a threat. The person had no apperence of a cop on him, even if he was undercover. "Oye!! You bettin'? Or are you gonna stand back there?! No show's for free." He turned away from him to a tap on the shoulder. Braxton turned his head to find another girl and he smiled. She was fimilar to him. A friend. He held out his arm for her and she hooked her arms around it. He looked around the crowd of people once more, the bag in his hand growing heaiver every time someone threw in money. Ren knew how to put on a show, and she always got the right amount of payment for it. Never once did she let people down. He looked back to see Ren still leaning on the car, ready to go and growing impatient. Braxton shook his head and shot her a look that told her to calm down. He was getting her money, she should be happy.

*Slam* The loud sound of a door of a car echoed threw the alley. A slim figure climbed from the passanger side of the car. A dark hoodie was over the head of the girl as she pulled some keys out of her jacket and opened up a metal door with an anarchy symbol. She pushed the door open and threw her hood back. Her brown hair with blonde highlights were visable now. Her brown eyes looked over the garage that she had shared with a few other people. She began to ull car covers off cars. One being the 65 shelby mustang, jet black with two white stripes down the middle and the engine sticking out the hood. She smiled as she ran her fingers over the side of the car. She walked down the row of cars uncovering them. Honda's Acura's toyota's BMW's So many cars were uncovered.
She smirked as she walked down the row of cars and then soon walked threw a back door and turned on the lights and looked at her car. The soft blue color that she had picked out. the hood was carbon fiber and the doors were opened up towards the ceiling she had put on Lambo doors to make her car look a lot better. she unlocked the door and popped open her hood and checked her oil, water, radiator fluid and brake fluid. She sighed as she had to add more oil. She shut the hood and then shut the doors and walked out towards the benches and picked up her suit that she wore when she raced. She walked into the bathroom and placed on her tight tank top and then her tight jean skirt, then over that she placed a jump suit and left the ziper undone. She placed on her boots and walked back out to her car.
She grabed her keys and opened up the garage door and opened up her doors and got in. She placed the key in the ignition and started up her car. She smirked as she looked at the door and flicked on her lights and then headed towards the door. She stoped and then turned to her right and peeled out. She pushed the garage door button and headed down the street. Her tires squeeling down the road as she drifted around corners shifting like she should. She speed down the road weaving in and out of traffic like it was nothing. She drfited around the last corner and seen a few people already showing off. She smirked as she down shifted and slowly coasted into the alley way. She looked around and watched as people looked at her car.
She soon came to a small opening and parked her car. She pushed the button to open her doors and steped out and fixed her hair some as she looked around. She then closed her doors and then looked at all the people that started to walk towards her. She rolled her eyes and then shook her head. She didnt like the fact that everyone had to look at her car. it wasn't anything special really, just a car suped up. She ran her fingers threw her hair as she walked towards the guy collecting money for some girl in a car. She smirked and stood not that far from them. "What got a player wanting to play the game? What driftin or racein?" she asked as she stood there. She then looked towards her left and seen a taller guy.
She turned her head some and looked at him. She wasnt sure who it was but she knew he looked familiar. Was that will? Na it couldnt be...or could it? Dawn smirked and then pushed her way towards the people and stood behing the guy and tapped him on the shoulder. "Will?" she asked as she stood there. Her hair was pushed to one side of her shoulder as she waited to see if it was will. If it wasnt then she would have to explain herself to the poor guy that she called some other guys name

Will couldn't help but smirk, listening to the loud mouth girl seen around here often, though his eyes narrowed as he tried to keep his cool watching that slug of a guy she was with pull out a sack telling people to place their bets. His eyes locked onto him he watched as the kid turned straight toward him. Crossing his arms casually acting as if he didn't want to punch the kid's face in he slowly reached into his pocket. His eyes never strayed from the boy as he tugged the wad of cashed, crinkling it into his hand he threw it into the bag hastily. "Two grand on the lady." He smirked, switching his gaze up to the girl. He knew she had a big mouth, everyone who was associated with street racing around here knew she had a big mouth. But he knew that she wasn't all just trash talk, she could win. And she would. Hence why he bet all of his previously earned money on her plus extra that he had in his wallet. This was the bigger winner he'd been waiting for.
However, he couldn't stop angrily trying to fight back a sneer at the dirt bag in front of him. Turning swiftly around he leaned up against the corner of the building, in clear view of everyone around. The streetlight was dull and flickering occasionally however, so no one seemed to really notice that he felt like the spotlight really was on him. For when he had placed his bet, people had stared. They envied and hated silently as he kept his cool putting all of his trust into the girl. It was a bold move, but it wasn't like Will hadn't pulled them before. He was a strong gambler, either throw everything into it, or nothing at all. However he did feel rather irritated at the kid telling him no shows for free. Bullshit, that's what that was all about. He simply snorted and shrugged his shoulders, if he didn't want to bet there wasn't a written rule that said he couldn't watch.
Will's eyes darted forward as he felt a hand caress over his shoulder. "Huh what?" He blinked dully, lost in his own hatred and anger for the guy in front of him and trying to focus on the upcoming race he stared down, almost not recognizing the girl at first, though his mind quickly updated him. "Uh, Hi Dawn." He said uneasily, trying not to act as though he was sweating on the inside he simply rolled his shoulders back and stared straight ahead over the guy's head at the girl and her car. He knew their names, or at least he thought he did, from his memory he'd rather recognize them as girl, and bitch. He wanted to pummel that little snake Braxton, he wanted his deadbeat ass gone. As far as he was concerned he should have been the one to die, not his own sister, he shuttered at the thought eying the ground then at Dawn. "What are you doing here anyway?"

Dawn laughed some and then brushed her hair back behind her ear and shurgged her shoulders. "I got bored and thought i would take my car out and show off. she said as she stood there. She ran her hand over her shoulder and then reached down and pulled out the cash that he gave her. She handed it back to him, "Here this is yours, I dont want it" she said as she held it out in her hand. She really did not like taking money from other people. It made her feel like she was not able to get her own money. She looked around and seen all the cars.
She watched as people kinda walked around her car. She whisled and then shook her head "You mind not touching my car" she said as she walked over to her car and pushed the guy away from her car. She looked at him and looked at where he was touching. He was messing with her hood hooks. She looked at him and then slapped his across the face. She hated the fact that people thought that they could just touch her car when ever they wanted. She glared at the guy and then walked over to her hood and snapped the hooks back down.
"Fucking touch my car again and you will lose your damn fingers" she said as she glared at the guy. She then rolled her eyes and headed back over to Will. But before she got past the guy he grabed her arm and pulled her back. "Hey if i wanted lip from you i would unzip my pants" he said as he smirked at her. He then pushed her to the ground and laughed at her and walked back over to her car and unhooked her hood clips and began to open her hood. Dawn got up and threw her self really at the guy. "Fucker!" she screamed as she punched him square in the jaw. His hand went up where she hit him and he looked at her "You bitch" he hissed at her.
He grabed ahold of her wrist and pushed her down to the ground. She looked around and then watched as some other guys began to come towards them. She bit down on her lip and then looked around for Will. She needed help, there was no way she could beat off 4 guys. She kicked and swung her free arm until the guy grabed her arm and held her to the ground. She fought as best as she could but the guy was just to strong. Tears began to swell in her eyes as her arms and wrists began to hurt. "Will help" she said softly as she held back her tears.

Braxton couldn't help but let out a snort as another girl rolled up in a car that was obviously just for show. His nose wrinkled as he looked over the car and then he glanced and Ren and just shook his head as though he were saying that there was no compition once so ever with this one. He was pulled back to the girl at his side and he grinned, whispering something in her ear causing her to giggle and slap him playfully. He winked at her, then turned his head to the girl that had just pulled up, acting hardcore and whatnot with the entire thing. "Nothing for you, babe. We already got a fourth." Braxton smirked, turning away from her and shaking her head, though he looked back over his shoulder at her and said, "But you can bet." He grinned, a twinkle in his eye as he thought about the money.
Something caught his attention as he began to walk away from her. Will. The name triggered something in his mind whenever she said it, but maybe it was something else. Hell, it might even just be a different person. He didn't dwell on it and continued to walk around, gathering last miniute bets and he sighed, letting out a whistel at the bag of money that he held tightly. It was simple enough to say that this was going to be a good race. If and when Ren won this race, then she'd be living on easy street for the next few weeks.. Perhaps a month or two even.
Braxton grinned as the boy threw in his bet. "Good deal, my man. You are Ren's favorite." He turned away, pulling the drawstring tight and throwing his arm into a circle motion as a sign to tell the drivers to line it up. Looking back and forth between the people, he smirked and stepped out in front of the cars, checking all of them out quickly, running his fingers under Ren's bumper. Others came around, checking out the other cars before Braxton stood again. He held the girl tight to his side and stood out in front of the cars. "Ready shit bags?!" He cackled.
His attention was caught whenever Ren ran from her car. He ran from the line and over the group of guys, pulling more boys back and knocking them in the jaw with his elbow and anything else that he could hit with. "Back up! What the hell is wrong with you guys?!" He snarled, slamming the boy's in the chest as they began to disperse. "The hell if you think you're getting your cut tonight." Looking back at the girl, he sighed and shook his head. He heard muttering behind him and a smart comment come from one of them. Braxton grumbled and turned around, slamming the boy hard in the jaw, only to hear a loud crack! "Yeah. Back the hell up."
Ren's eyes narrowed harshly at the newcomer. Who was she? And why was she barking up on Ren's turf? Frusteration rumbled in her chest and showed in her eyes. It didn't matter about anyone else that wanted to race. It was time to go and she was getting impatient. "Let's go, Braxton! I'm sick of waiting!" As she overheard the girl ask if it was racing or drifting, she shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Damn. You are new. We don't drift. We race." Her patience had offically reached it's end. What space did they have to drift in this deadhorse town? Really now. C'mon. Let's use our head. She shook her head, drumming her hands on the top of her car and let out a loud yell in excitment. "Let's roll! Ahahaha!!"
She climbed into her car, slamming the door shut and she revved the engine loud to let everyone know that she was ready. Pulling up to the line, she gripped the steering wheel hard and revved her engine again and grinned as she looked from side to side at the other guys ready to race her. They had sort of a strange look to them as she watched each one of the boys on either side of her. "It's a conspiracy," she muttered to herself and shook her head. Didn't bother her any. They could all be against her, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't win. She always won. She had something that none of them did: N2O. It was her baby. Her pride and joy. Her token to winning and something that was out of reach of anyone else as long as she was winning these races.
Ren looked out the window at the boys surrounding the girl that she'd been yelling at. "Braxton, hold it!" She opened the door and flew out towards the crowd of people, grabbing the back of shirts and yanking guys back. "Get the hell back, you pigs!" she snarled, punching a few of them in the jaw and catching a few of them in a hot spot. "Ass holes," she muttered, looking at the girl. She nailed a few more before being caught in the back of the head. "Jack ass," she snarled, catching him in the jaw. Ren looked around again at the boys as they began to back up. She sighed, shaking her head and she held out her hand to the girl. "You gotta watch yourself around here."
